Choosing an under bench freezer

Start with the gap and the door count. Our range is 598 mm to 2,230 mm wide. A 2-door unit (35 of our models) is the common choice for a café or small kitchen; 3-door (34 models) suits a busier line where the freezer is shared between sections.

Temperature. These hold frozen storage temperature, typically around −18 °C and below. That is for keeping product frozen, not for freezing it down: if you are putting hot or fresh product in, you need a blast chiller or shock freezer first, or you will lift the temperature of everything already in the cabinet.

Refrigerant is worth a look. 51 of our 83 models run R290 — a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant with very low global-warming potential, which is where Australian commercial refrigeration is heading. If your site has rules about hydrocarbon charge sizes, tell us and we will point you at the R404a or R134a options instead.

Under bench freezer or under bench fridge? If you need both under the same run, a common setup is a 2-door fridge next to a 2-door freezer rather than one dual-temp cabinet — easier to service, and you are not paying for a compartment you do not use.
