Why open front sells more

An open display fridge has no door between the customer and the product, and that single fact is the reason supermarkets and convenience stores use them: every second saved on reaching in is impulse volume. The trade-off is running cost — an open deck works harder than a glass-door cabinet, so an air curtain in good condition and a sensible aisle position matter more here than on any other fridge we sell.

Sizing

This is the widest range on the site: 500 mm to 3,850 mm wide and 48 L to 2,555 L, with the middle of it an 800 L cabinet at 1,350 mm. Small plug-in units suit a café grab-and-go bay; the long remote-condenser decks are for a supermarket run and need a plant room.

Open deck or serve-over

If staff hand the product across rather than the customer reaching in — meat, cheese, smallgoods — you want a serve-over counter instead: see meat and deli serve-over displays. The two look similar in a photo and behave completely differently in a shop.

What we carry

Thermaster, Tecnodom, Turbo Air, Bromic, Bonvue, FED-X and Atosa, alongside three cabinets built under our own name. All 73 are in stock, from $233 to $21,112 ex-GST.

Prices shown are ex-GST trade rates. Every unit is fully tested before it leaves us — which is why we don't promise same-day on everything. Sydney metro is next day; we deliver Australia-wide.

Not sure what you need? We'll help you spec it.
