Why this ice. Nugget ice is soft and chewable; gourmet ice is a clear, slow-melting cube. Both cost more per kilogram than plain cube ice and both are chosen deliberately — nugget for soft-drink service, smoothies, healthcare and aged care where residents chew the ice; gourmet cube for spirits, cocktails and premium drinks where the ice is on show and should not water the drink down.
Output. 23 kg/24h to 500 kg/24h, median 120 kg. Size on your busiest trading day. Production and storage are two different numbers — the machine keeps making ice through the peak, but the bin is what carries you through it — and rated output is measured at a specified ambient air and incoming water temperature, so leave headroom for a hot kitchen.
Where it goes. 386 mm to 950 mm wide — the small end fits under a back bar, the large end is a floor-standing machine. For plain cube ice, see our commercial ice machines.
