Two rooms you can buy off the page

Most cool rooms are sized to a site, which is why they have no model number. Two here are the exception: the mobile cool room and the mobile freezer room, both 1,800 × 2,400 × 2,100 mm with a single swing door, a panel floor with tread plate, and a single-axle steel trailer included — stabiliser legs, rear step and jockey wheel. They run on R404a with a 12-month back-to-base warranty, and they have to travel empty. Everything else on this line starts with a conversation about the space.

The chiller and the freezer are not the same box

Same footprint, same trailer, and that is where the similarity stops. The cool room holds 2–5 °C on 75 mm EPS panel; the freezer room holds −18 °C and needs 150 mm — double the wall — to do it. That is the clearest illustration of something worth knowing before you size any room: a freezer is not a cool room with the thermostat wound down. If there is a chance the room becomes a freezer later, it is cheaper to build it as one now than to re-skin it.

Doors, and why they are usually the thing that fails first

A door gets opened a few hundred times a day and is the only part of the room that moves, so it wears while the panels do not. Ours are Australian made and can be retrofitted to a room you already have — slide, swing, pallet-size, solid insert, glass insert and glass walk-in. Replacing a tired door on a sound room is one of the cheapest ways to pull a power bill back down, and it is worth checking before anyone talks you into a new room.

Glass inserts, made to your opening

Unlike the standard-size inserts most places stock, our glass inserts are made to your specification — your choice of black powder coat or frosted grey, with fully adjustable shelves and LED lighting. At freezer temperature heated glass is supplied as standard, and it is worth having in a humid room at chiller temperature too, or the doors fog exactly when a customer is trying to see through them.

If none of the above fits the space

Then it is a built room, not a bought one. We design and install cool rooms and freezer rooms to the site, and for a simple square footprint there are DIY kits as well. Whatever the room, it still needs fitting out: shelving comes in 16 sizes across two depths, rated 150 kg a shelf. We sell rooms rather than hire them out, so if you need one for a weekend event we are not the right call.
