Cookrite 1220mm Char Rock Broiler — Natural Gas

The Cookrite ATCB-48-NG is a 1220 mm benchtop char rock broiler — the longest rock grill in the range, for a kitchen where grilled product is most of the menu and the char is the selling point rather than a side effect.

Key features

• A rock bed running the full length of the grate, so every part of the grill gets the same smoke.
• Rated at 33 MJ/h on natural gas — that is the figure on the supplier sheet we hold, so have us confirm it before the gas supply is sized.
• 1220 mm of grilling width, which is two cooks working their own halves through a service.
• Benchtop at 386 mm high, so it needs a serious counter rather than a spot in the floor run.
• 113 kg empty: the bench under it has to be engineered, not chosen.

Fit notes

Allow 1220 mm of bench width and 700 mm of depth, with 386 mm of body height above the counter. Extraction is the deciding factor at this length — a rock broiler this wide will beat a marginal canopy, and the rock still has to be raked and replaced. It is set up for natural gas, so it connects to the mains — confirm the branch carries 33 MJ/h with the rest of the run alight.
