The Cookrite ATRC-36-NG is a benchtop gas radiant broiler — the open-flame grill a kitchen reaches for when steaks, chops and skewers have to come off fast and look the part. Radiant burners sit under the grate and throw heat up through it, so the bars mark the food while the flame stays off the surface. It suits a restaurant, cafe, pub or club kitchen that grills to order rather than batch-cooking ahead of service.
Key features
- Rated at 33 MJ/h on natural gas, so the grate comes back up to temperature between orders instead of stalling halfway through a rush.
- 910 mm of grilling width — a full service section rather than a single-pan hotplate bolted to the end of a bench.
- Radiant burners under the grate give an even bed of heat and keep flare-ups down.
- Set up for natural gas, so it connects to the mains with no cylinders to watch.
- 72 kg on its own feet: heavy enough to stay put while someone works it hard, light enough for two people to place.
Fit notes
Allow 910 mm of bench width and 700 mm of depth, with clearance behind for the gas connection and above for the heat coming off the grate; the body itself is 385 mm high. Being a natural gas unit it needs a fixed connection, with the branch sized to carry 33 MJ/h.
Warranty
2 Years Parts & Labour, plus a further 2 Years Parts when the unit is registered.
