The Cookrite ATCB-24-NG is a 610 mm benchtop char rock broiler — a grill with a bed of rock between the burner and the grate. Fat drips onto the hot rock, flares, and smokes back into the food — the whole reason a kitchen buys a rock broiler rather than a plain grill.
Key features
- A rock bed under the grate, so the smoke that flavours grilled meat is made by the machine rather than added on.
- Rated at 33 MJ/h on natural gas, which keeps rock and bars hot through a run of orders.
- 610 mm of grilling width — enough for a pub or cafe with a few grilled items, not a grill house.
- Benchtop at 385 mm high, so it uses counter space rather than a slot in the floor run.
- 63 kg: a two-person place, and heavy enough that it does not walk while it is worked.
Fit notes
Allow 610 mm of bench width and 700 mm of depth, with the body 385 mm above the counter and clearance behind for the gas connection. The rock bed is also the catch: it smokes hard, needs raking and replacing, and a marginal canopy will notice — the radiant broiler in this range does the same job without it. It is set up for natural gas, so it connects to the mains — confirm the branch carries 33 MJ/h with the rest of the run alight.
Warranty
