What Hoshizaki is known for

Hoshizaki built its reputation on crescent ice — the curved, slow-melting cube from the KM series that most Australian bars and clubs know by sight. The crescent shape packs without locking together, so a glass fills evenly and drinks dilute more slowly. Alongside it the range covers straight cube (IM series), flake and nugget (FM series), and cubelet dispensers.

Choosing between the series

KM = crescent, the bar and hospitality workhorse. IM = square cube, for ice that has to look like ice in a glass. FM = flake or nugget depending on the suffix, for seafood display, medical and anything chewable. Use the ice-type filter on this page rather than guessing from a model number — the naming is not obvious from outside.

Service is the part that matters on a ten-year machine

An ice machine is a water appliance that runs every hour of every day, so scale and water quality decide its life more than the badge does. We service what we sell with our own mechanics, and we will tell you what filtration the site needs before you buy rather than after the first breakdown.

Prices shown are ex-GST trade rates. We are a dealer, not a marketplace — the same people who sell it install and service it. Sydney metro next day; we deliver Australia-wide.

Not sure what you need? We'll help you spec it.
